Reasons to be cheerful

We have many years of experience dealing with residential clients and businesses of all sizes. We try hard to look at clients’ enquiries through their perspectives with their needs in mind.

We’re a friendly business, by that I mean we often develop a great rapport with our clients. All our employees have a passion for their work and people.

We provide clear quotes and advice, our prices are transparent and we will honour our quotes for 3 months. There will be no additional costs provided the job has not changed from the time of the quote.

We’re now almost entirely paperless and also about 95% green with regards to our recycling. Our woodchip is used by Ealing allotment holders and our logs are collected by many frugal people from our depot in Acton.

What our clients say:

I was very impressed at the speed of response, tree knowledge, health and safety awareness, politeness and tidiness levels of all the operatives. I will be using this company for all tree works at the school from now on. Melanie Bailey-Brentside Primary Academy School Business Manager

Coverage areas

Our machines and kit are rigorously tested and maintained. Our teams wear Personal Protective Equipment and a smart uniform so you know who we are.

We do hundreds of jobs each year varying in size and complexity. Sometimes things go wrong, when they do we will try our upmost to correct and learn from our mistakes. We hold regular ‘toolbox’ talks to discuss issues and best practice. You can hold us to account for the advice we give and the work we do.

Tree work can be a noisy, messy and disruptive task but with considered methods, training and assessment we try to keep the negatives to a minimum. In fact we encourage client’s to communicate with teams before, during and after the work. We’re proud of the way we work and as long as it’s safe to do so, we’ll explain what’s going on as best we can. You can even pull up a chair and watch (from a distance).

You won’t pay until the job is completed, in fact you even have 7 days to pay once the invoice has been received. Raise a query within this time and we will be happy to discuss it. You can pay by bank transfer and we’ll send a receipt if you’d like.

How do we work?

You can contact us by phone, email or just come over for a chat while we’re out and about (if it’s safe to do so).

We respond to phone and email enquires within the working day (8-4pm) and we can usually arrange an appointment within 2 days.
Once we’ve made a site visit and discussed your job we try to send a quote by email 24 hours after the meeting.

We’ll be clear about what is achievable and what’s not and also how long you can expect to wait until the work is complete.

Only Tom or Charles quote so you know exactly who you are dealing with, see our lovely photos.

Our teams are directly employed by us, we train them, task them and most importantly monitor them. On any given job Charles or myself Tom will know exactly who is attending, what skills and approach is required and also who is accountable for has achieved a good performance or and on rare occasions, need to improve. improved performances.

We are all trained to above and beyond the industry standards, our adherence to the Arboricultural Associations approved contractors scheme is testament to our desire to be at the forefront of best industry practice.

Who you’ll meet:

Tom Boswell

I arrange quotes, schedule work and deal with clients requests, and go to site once or twice a week but with the team we have it’s a less frequent trip for me these days. I enjoy the work but mostly I enjoy dealing with people and making things run smoothly. As the founding Director I can draw on a huge amount of experience in tree surgery and business management. I’m qualified to Level 4 in Arboriculture and hold the Professional tree inspectors certificate. Outside of work I enjoy running and the Gym.

Charles became a Director in 2015 after working with Tom for 18 months. He’s dependable, diligent and immensely talented with the practical side of tree work. Charles now takes a more managerial post and he’s developing fast into this role. Charles is also qualified to Level 4 in Arboriculture as well as being a LOLER inspector. http://www.hse.gov.uk/work-equipment-machinery/loler.htm. Outside of work Charles is heavily involved in rock climbing as well as being a proud father to his two boys.

Sarah helps us look after our most important component, our employees. She deals with our recruitment, employee contracts and training. She is very knowledgeable about legislation and keeps us updated with our legal requirements and best practice as a growing business.

When the jobs complete you’ll meet Jane, she sends the invoices and collects payment. If you haven’t paid she’ll hunt you down to the ends of the earth, or more likely give you a gentle reminder. Jane’s been with the Company since 2012 and has the nicest telephone manner of all of us.

The Team

The guys

We’ve a core of 5 chaps on the tools with others able to step into the breach at short notice. They’re smart, reliable, friendly and good at their jobs. You can get to know them better when they work on your trees. They respond well to tea and biscuits. They are either fully qualified or working towards full qualifications in all aspects of tree work.
